driving home today, I passed the same dealership I pass every time i come home from the office. Out front, they have a new stock '12 TE SALSA RED!!! (no KDSS or nav), and a new lifted '12 SR5, with 17" chrome rims and 285s....not sure i understand this logic. They also put a brand new '11 Land Cruiser next to them.


I want the red one....damn them for not having that last year!

PS, on the used side of things, they have an H1, with aweful looking chrome rims and tires, but i swear it looks dropped. :keyboard:

if the TE had KDSS and NAV/JBL, maybe, but for what a trade would cost, I could seriously upgrade my '11 TE.

oh well!

I just thought it was odd that they had a lifted 2wd sr5 and a stock TE instead of the other way around.

2012 TEs don't get JBL, they get a smaller screen and the stock stereo with some useless apps which are dependent on your phone, which already has those apps, anyway.

Go for an aftermarket stereo and suspension and you will probably be much happier for far less money than a trade.

The LC 200s look lowered to me. They look more like a bigger version of the highlander than the 4runner.

i think the sticker was $73K. with that, you could get an 4runner LE 4wd, TE body kit, icon stage 6, front and rear air lockers, front and rear bumpers, skids, sliders, full roof rack, new rims and tires, rigid LEDs front rear and both sides, a sweet stereo/nav/DVD system, and still have money for an off road trailer to tow more stuff, or just few extra thousand to stuff in the glove box.
