Very nice

Thanks! This is definitely making the girls happy. We camp a lot, so this going to be nice for Those trips that you just want to relax on. I’m going to end up selling my off-road trailer and go back to tent or sleeping inside the runner for hunting or wheeling.

So far, we refuse to transition to a trailer. the off-road trailer/RTT combo is bomb. But in my old age a toilet and shower would be nice:zoom:

It is pretty nice being able to shower, or have a comfy place when the weather is rough. My off road trailer is definitely going to be missed. But, We’re not using it as much as we were. I don’t really see the need to keep the RTT either. Our last long trip was during thanksgiving and we were camping in Oregon, below 20 degrees. The family made the best of it and melting ice to make coffee was fun-ish, but the writing was on the wall. Having this, we either glamp, or rough it. It’s nice to have options.

Plus, I want to build another odd-road trailer. I know, it’s a sickness...

haha don't even mention that option. if i show up with a bunch of steel and timbren axless setup wife is gonna banish me to the garage lol

our last trip all 15 gallons of water froze and the water pump/water lines.... "fun" sure...lmao

Since getting my new suspension installed, I haven’t had a lick of time to get out and shake things out. Between work, blowing both bonded seals in my front and rear ARB’s, then more work, it’s just been impossible. But, we started vacation and the first thing my GF did was insist on taking a trip out to Hollister.

Anyway, I knew that I was going to have issues to work out. First off, for what ever reason, my alignment shop didn’t max out my caster. So, the front was rubbing and never had before. It’s the 4th time they’ve don’t my truck, so I assumed.... no worries, I’m going to trim, BMC and take a BFH to the pinch welds to make rooms for bigger tires anyway. On to the rear.

I found a spot to cycle the rear end. I knew that I had kinda guessed on my homemade rear bumps. I’m running an “LT” rear, with Dobinsons springs and LT kings. Looking at how much of the shaft is still exposed (giggity), I need to shorten the bump. What I should have done was taken that bump off while I was out there. Here’s a shot at full stuff:

The stuff side bump, bottomed out.

Stuffed side shock. That’s about 3” of exposed shaft. Not really sure how much of that is usable, but I’d guess at least 2” of that?

Free side.

I’m not exactly thrilled with the results, but it’s not going to take much to improve things. I’m making a point to get out more this year, so I have a bit of work to do!

If anyone has any pro tips, I’m all ears!
