Hitman New member Mar 3, 2005 #1 Why do so many people on this forum refer to the traction control system as ATRAC? I was looking through a 4Runner brochure, and it lists traction control as TRAC. There's also HAC, DAC, VSC, X-REAS etc... But where did ATRAC come from?

D dcampen New member Mar 3, 2005 #2 Some places Toyota calls it TRAC other places ATRAC. Google the term "Toyota ATRAC" and you will see. Seems that in Canada the acronym used is mostly ATRAC. ATRAC = Active Traction Control System.
