Attn: Colorado Guys!

If you guys are wanting to try something difficult we could try slaughterhouse gulch. I haven't tried it and it sounds difficult but it is open during the winter time. Let me know what you guys think about that idea.
 
I'm game. I can take a half day for work anytime this week but Monday is probably best so if anything goes wrong I have a few days to fix it.
 
I think I'll try to hit the trails on both Thursday and Friday. Some friends got new jeeps and are only free Friday, so I'm going to hit a trail preferable south of Denver on Friday, and try to hook up with you guys on Thursday.
 
Sounds good to me. Our plan is to leave Boulder towards slaughterhouse gulch at 9:00 so we should get to the trail around 10:30. Anyone is welcome to come. Just a warning, nobody in my group is experience including myself so if someone experienced wants to join and show us the way, that's great
 
Guys, please be careful on the trail. If there is ice on the trail leave plenty of room between vehicles before starting to go uphill and downhill.

Last January on Mt Baldy a FJ rolled on its side because the vehicle behind him started down to soon causing the FJ to need to increase speed and the ice took control. He had a winch mounted and we were able to bring it back up on its wheels and it drove home. Regardless the insurance totaled it.

Sorry I cant make the run with you.

I do have a handheld CB someone can borrow if you want but it does not sound like there are any other radios in the group. Let me know if you want to use it.

Thanks for the tip. From what I have read on this trail there are only a few uphill downhill sections on this trail so we will take it slow on those parts for sure and leave lots of room between us. I am also bringing 4 walkie talkies to make up for the lack of cb's. If anyone else showing up has walkie talkies feel free to bring them and then we can talk while rolling.
 
Is there someone that can PM me their cell number to communicate better before we all meet up? (Just in case something comes up)
 
Here's some pictures from slaughterhouse gulch. We ended up having 4 T4Rs. My buddy, ConcreteJungle and Snivilous. Got to do some shoveling, some pulling, some winching. Couldn't make the whole trail though because of the steep hill climb that had snow. Without the winch snivilous would have been stuck down the hill.

I had a good time, we're gonna have to show that trail who's boss in the future with lockers and grippier tires haha
 
Amen to the fun trail, despite the lack of traction (me especially). That seemed like a very fun trail to do in the summer. Great pictures too.
 
Spring Break: Woodland Park Trip

Hey all, I'm going to run a trail just north of Woodland Park in the Rainbow Falls Park. Not a hard trail, but I need a short, easy trail to teach a new guy on. Anyone is welcome to join. I also got new tires so I really want to try them out on the rocks. I'll be on the trail in the afternoon, around 3-5pm on Saturday, March 22. Anyone able to join us?
