Attn: Scanguage II Owners!

The 2 sensors are an in temp and an out temp. Their is not one in the pan. You are seeing the lower temp due to the sensor reading the fluid after it has been cooled down from the trans cooler.

I have both on mine (in and out temps) since I drive around the mountains quite a bit. Not entirely necessary but its nice to see how much the trans is working and whether cooling is effective.

I just got back from a 6500K mile trip to Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and other places and there were a couple days when mine wouldn’t get past 95. Any lower than that and I would have put something over the cooler to stop some of the cold air going thru it. The fluid is not as “Productive” if it gets too cool.

Thanks for bumping this, guys...

I guess I will send in my ancient SGII soon.

Or maybe not.

Someone forgot to drop the tires down from shipping PSI, during the PDI.

Maybe worried about the thing about flat spots like what was common with Bias-Ply tires...

TBH, I didn't even notice. I am used to my work trucks reading 60-80psi.

After reading this entire thread I didn’t see any of the TPMS codes listed. Ended up using the second set found here on this ScanGauge page.

These are the TPMS codes that work for my 2010 Trail:

TP1 (PSI) 822AF02138 546180004000 2808 001D0008FF6F TP1
TP2 (PSI) 822AF02138 546180004000 3008 001D0008FF6F TP2
TP3 (PSI) 822AF02138 546180004000 3808 001D0008FF6F TP3
TP4 (PSI) 822AF02138 546180004000 4008 001D0008FF6F TP4

Those codes worked for me also.. 2018 TRD Pro.

Does anyone know if there has been any progress made to have “pages”? Or multiple screens.

Also how do I get the TFT trans temp to display the *F like the other temp gauges?

You need to set the temp units in the basic setup options. Step 2 in the quick start guide.

Those of you with ScanGauges..what TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) are you seeing at idle?
Mine is usually 16.

How accurate is the scangauge TPMS for you guys? I pumped one of my tires to 33 PSI (per my inflator), reads 32.5 on my digital gauge, but the scangauge reads 29 psi

Speaking of Scangauge... where is everyone mounting theirs?

I made a goose neck mount. It's pretty stable, but does move a little on bumpier roads at speed.

Very rarely will they be the same especially when comparing against a air compressor gauge. My suggestion, and what I tell my customers is to get a good quality digital pressure gauge and set the tires to that gauge.

Darn, I was hoping to be able to use this as a reliable source for on-board monitoring. I guess I can just figure out the difference in error, and then add it to the scangauge reading for a close enough actual psi reading

Looks cool.

That’s disappointing, mine are close to my digital which is very close to my analog. +/- .5psi

Mount for scanguage

I obtained a fitted plastic shim offered by a member. Mounted Scanguage to top of steering column as shim fit curvature and provided flat mounting surface.
I use a mechanical pressure gauge to air my tires. The scanguage reads lower about 1psi which could be due to the TPMS unit in the tire itself. All 4 have same reading difference.
I have found the tire pressure monitoring extremely useful and sensitive. Sun side of parked 4runner shows a slightly higher tire pressure as one would expect.
It provided great piece of mind when I drove thru Utah where speeds are 80 + mph and safety required keeping up with traffic flow!
