I'm in Austin as well. Recently bought my 2011, and stuck some wheels and tires on it and ditched the chrome. Was gonna do suspension next, but eyeball surgery sucked away my $5K.
I go to Copper Creek fer shootin' sometimes which is inside the Hidden Falls property, but never been offroading. Looks interesting, if not a bit intimidating as I'm rather fond of my paint job. :lookout:

If you are concerned about scratches on paint or wheels... It is not the best place to go. On the other hand I have wheeled my 5th gen out there for what I'm guessing to be hundreds of hours and it still looks decent (so far).

Is it just me, or have you guys noticed there are quite a few ladies out in Austin driving TRDPros? I just passed two of em yesterday when leaving town...

Yep, it is hipster city now.. I've lived here since the late 80s and wow has this place changed. . Count the number of JKs LOL. The 4runners are still not that common, but have seen more and more TRD pros lately. I think some of those JKU owners have traded in for them recently.

Yeah I have tallied at least 4 different ones, white, black, and that orange I forget the name. Saw a quicksand the other day on S. Congress. Man it looked sweet
