I had to replace yet another servo control unit for my 2000 T4R Limited with the auto climate control. I took the old one out, flipped the gear and reinstalled it but it did not work for long. This time around, I took more time to check the cable and the water valve. I found the cable was almost stuck so I soaked it down with AeroKroil and also soaked down the water valve lever (Under the hood, in front of the center of the dash) I disconnected the cable from the watervalve and worked the water valve lever back and forth by hand. The new servo is in and it works fine now. I could not find a way to lubricate the cable to the servo down under the dash. I am hoping a few more squirts of AeroKroil and some silicone will eventually make its way down the cable into the plastic sleeve. Again though, I can only access this cable from under the hood.
Has anyone had success lubricating the servo cable under the dash? If so, any tips on how to do it and do it right?
