Auto window up down module

Hey there,

I'm looking for the window auto up/down module that resides in the drivers side door. I've been searching, but I can't find the part number for the life of me. Perhaps one of you could be of assistance?

Cheers,

Ryan

Do you need the entire switch? And are you certain that is what you need?

I only ask because the auto up/down feature will be disabled if the battery is unplugged and you don't 'recalibrate' the window by rolling it down, then up, then holding up for an extra second or two.

Also, if the regulator in the window motor goes out it can cause the auto function to quit working. I only know this because of some troubleshooting another member helped me do using the service manual.

If you need the full switch (with window switches for all 4 doors, as well the mirror and lock I believe), I have that and would be willing to part with it for $30 shipped as that's what I paid for it (when I thought that was my problem before finding out what I said above).

I'm looking for the part number to see what other cars the auto up/down module is in. I'm trying to make the passenger window an auto up/down on the cheap. My local junkyard doesn't have any 03'-09' 4runners, so I am looking for other models that have it

There are several threads about this. I'm fairly certain the auto module is built into the switch.

The other option (that I've seen) is to get the module from DEI, but that may require an aftermarket alarm.. I'm not sure about that.

Yeah, I've seen those threads, but there was one that mentioned it was a board that only existed in the drivers side door. I couldn't find any parts reference to that though. I also cannot find the thread either.

Specifically, to quote Jaebster in the third thread link you posted

Anyways I've searched the forum and there was a couple posts regarding the one touch windows. From reading, I figure I can't just buy the driver side switch and replace the passenger switch with it. I'm no E.E. but I guess there is a small circuit board that has a relay switch for the feature to work.

So I'm looking for that circuit boards part number

Just read the last thread you posted, it appears that the control is built into the window motor due to safety concerns. So I suppose that answers my question in that regard.

I've got one if you need one. I had a oops moment and ended up finding a deal on a whole door so I have a working switch that was off the old door. What are they going for?

The switch or the motor? The auto switch is worthless without the driverside window motor.

At this point, My plan to implement Auto Up/Down in my passenger side is to use a raspberry pi (because I have an extra laying around), some relays (Transistor esk setup), and two sensor switches to detect shutoff points for auto up/down.
