autowindow relay for the turn signals, anyone use it before?

so pretty much if you have ever driven a modern german car, when switching lanes, you just move the stalk without locking it and the turn signal will signal 3 times by itself. With this relay you can convert your stalk to that, or even blink 5 times, you can change the pattern your courtesy lights come on when you unlock/lock the car, and so on. seems pretty legit. One of my friends friend came by last night with his 08+ sti and had that relay put in, seemed pretty interesting. He also told me that these relays were LED ready so no need to put a resistor or cut any wires.
So the question is, when you look up the cars they make it for, ours is one of them but it says "no drl" did the canadian 4runners come without DRL's?

Because the DRL use the turn signal relay to work. I believe that changing out the relay will disable the DRL function. In the USA, DRL was an option for many years on the 4Runner. On my 2006 SR5 it did not have the DRL function when I purchased the vehicle. I purchased the DRL relay and swapped out the turn signal relay to get the DRL function. That's what the site is trying to tell you. If you install their product it will eliminate the DRL function if you have it.

but would i have to change the drl relay for a regular relay?
seems like you changed 2 relays, the DRL relay and the turn signal relay.

I am thinking i can just get this relay and it'll eliminate the DRL function but it will give me the 3/5 blinks for switching lanes + other features.

the drl equiped have 12 pins instead of 8 pins like non drl 4runners, i was thinking about that 100 dollar relay , but im fine with the 10 dollar on i have when i did my led conversion. no need to get fancy, do many of us here use turn signals all the time? i use it most of the time.
