AVS Bug Deflector - rubber hood stops

Is anyone using these? Just put on the buglector (not the type II) and it came with the small rubber pieces to stick on the hood. Not in favor of putting anything on my new paint and can't see any deflection that would need them. I might stick one on each end of the protector instead of on the paint but wondering if anyone found a need for them

I just stuck them onto the bug deflector. Mine has been on for years and hasn't had a problem. I think I saw talk about this in another thread a while back and others did the same thing.

Rubber stops

Same here. I just put the stops on the reflector itself. Honestly there is more than an inch between the big shield and hood, you problably don't even need them.

Exactly my thoughts.. If something is going to deflect it almost an inch than it will probably snap first. But still going to stick them on somewhere on the shield rather than throw them away

I did not put any on the visor or the hood. There is more than 1" of distance between the visor and the hood so this will never be an issue! This pic is for reference. LOL

I just ordered one and should have asked this question first. How well do these tolerate being run through an automatic car wash? I like to run my truck through the wash after they salt the roads to wash the under carriage.

Thanks

3 years in on mine and no problems. And I deleted the bumpers.
