A few weeks back, I went and got my windows tinted. I got 15% on the front 2 windows, with 20% over the rear window and a brow. You can't tell from the pictures, but the front windows are slightly lighter than the rears because of the windshield letting in so much light.

I also just placed my order for a Prinsu Roof Rack so that should be here in a few weeks hopefully.

I broke the screen on the stock radio a few months back and finally decided to fix it so I ordered a Kenwood DDX773BH with a Metra Dash Kit. I wanted to keep my steering wheel controls so I also ordered a Metra Axxess ASWC-1 and to make things a little easier I ordered a Metra Radio Wiring Harness. The install was fairly straight forward and the steering wheel adapter was easier than I anticipated. I used this video from youtube to assist in taking the dash apart. I Don't have many pics but here's a few of them. The first pic shows the Metra Wiring Harness I used and the second shows the Metra Steering Wheel Adapter I used.

So far, I love the radio and it looks great. It does have the option for front and rear cameras, so I ordered two Pyle backup cams. I ordered these cams because I didn't want the backup lines and can wire these so that they don't show up, and I have the ability to wire it up to either flip the image or not.

The 4runner has two antenna plugs but the kenwood only allows for the one larger antenna plug. Originally I was just going to go with just plugging in the one antenna but after driving around for a day with horrible radio reception I decided to order the Scosche Antenna Adapter and a Metra Antenna Y Cable. This should fix the horrible radio reception. My sub sounds a lot better now with the new headunit.

I placed an order for some sliders and a front skid from RCI about 2 weeks ago and just got them in the other day. I ordered the aluminum version of their front skid and the sliders are bare steel. I'm using Rustoleum self etching primer and Rustoleum flat black enamel spray paint. I am currently letting them dry, and should be able to put them on tonight.

I went ahead and ordered the front skid with the sliders because the original one had its fair share of rust and actually rusted through in a few spots.

The install on the front skid was self explanatory and it looks great.

I will update with pics once I get the sliders on.

I was finally able to put my sliders on with the help of some friends and they look awesome.

They seem well built and pretty beefy, and should be more than enough for what I go through.

Been a little bit since I've updated this thread. Haven't done much with the 4runner except I got some new wheels, and been on a couple trips to the Ozarks and Ouachitas. The wheels I got were some Fuel Vectors 17x8.5. These pics are just some I took from some of my recent trips.

Haven't done much lately other than regular maintenance. Replaced the driver side wheel bearing and replaced both front calipers since they were frozen and brake pads. Got some cbi ditch light brackets for Christmas that I put on earlier today. Didnt gettin any pics in the day light but I will upload some shots of the output of the lights I got later tonight. Also got some wheelers super bump stops for the front I need to install and I ordered a demello 3 hoop bumper that should be here in a few weeks:):thumb3:

Got some shots of the lights and brackets. It rained a little bit last night and so far the lights don't leak but time will tell.

Great looking truck!! I just bought an '03 V8, identical to this one, and I'm excited to start building it. I've been a Cruiser guy my entire life (hence my username) and figured I would change it up a bit with a 4runner. I was a Toyota Master Diagnostic tech for nearly 18 years, and I've seen how bullet proof these things are. I bought mine with 222,000 miles on it, and it's doesn't skip a beat other than normal maintenance stuff.

Well over the past few weeks I have been getting some parts in. I got my Demello 3-hoop bumper, and I painted it myself with some monstaliner bed liner. Also decided now would be a good time to do a tire size upgrade so I got some 285/75r17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Also have some Total Chaos UCAs on order that should be here tomorrow.








Surprisingly the tires fit with no rubbing even if I turn it all the way to both sides with no body mount chop. They will rub if I do go offroad, so I ordered the UCAs to try and combat that because I would like to not cut the body mount if possible as I do not have access to a welder. I have also ordered some Baja Designs Squadron-R Sport lights for the bumper, and plan on getting the smittybilt x20 10k winch sometime soon.

Been awhile since I've been on here so I decided I'd better update this. Haven't done too much to it, but I have some pics. I added some Total Chaos upper control arms and a couple of lights to it.


The lights I got were some Hella 700FF that I had laying around the garage and some Baja designs combo lights



The baja designs lights are a combo light and they fit perfect in the fog light holes cut out by demello. Any questions, feel free to ask.

I bought a Viair Air system a while back on a 4wheelparts sale. It has the Viair 450c compressor which is a constant duty compressor and a 2.5 gallon tank. Just got around to installing it this past week. I have the compressor mounted in the back in one of the storage compartments, along with the switch. The tank is mounted underneath in the spare tire area. I used some u-bolts to go over the brace that holds up the spare tire.




I went out to the Ouachitas earlier this week to go fishing at Lake Winona and aired down to test out my new OBA sytem. The compressor is able to fill the tank to 150psi in about 3 minutes which is what I expected. I aired down to 18psi and using the system I was able to air up to 38psi in about 10-15 minutes. It is hard for the compressor to keep up with me filling up the tires, so after every tire I let it fill back up most of the way
 
Ordered a morimoto 40" xtorch light bar to mount on my roof rack. Wanted more of a subtle look and not outrageously expensive and this one seemed to fit the bill. Also ordered some switches and a switch plate from OTRATTW. I plan to integrate the switches into the sunglasses holder somehow.
