i like the arb price, i like the eziawn features.
Just starting my research, I too like the ARB price and while I don't know much about their awnings I would pull the trigger form my experience with the quality of lockers and compressors having come from the jeep world. What about Ezi-awn to you like?

3rd ARB 2500 is sitting in the garage ready to go on the rack....1st one I bought is 6 years old...no complaints.

Rolling up a tarp or bag awning seems so pedestrian. I am ordering an Eezi-Awn 2000 series. I like the lack of PVC bag and dirty, stuck and freezing zippers. (Actually I like all of them that have more than three Velcro closures per side and the Eezi-Awn Swift is the bomb, but have to justify spending 800 bones on a tarp).

10X10 EZ up strapped to the top of the 4Runner. Less than $200 and you can actually move it where you want it. 5 minutes to set up and take down.

From what I understand with the drivers side or passenger side for awning, if, say you had to pull off the road to sleep during a rigorous trip and the only safe place is just off the road, you don't really want to unfold your tent into the possibility of traffic.
So tent open to passenger side and awning to driver side. That assumes you have both. Or go super Afrika style and open your tent forward and attach the ladder to your bull bar. Minimal footprint and then flip a coin for your awning.
I have neither and sleep in my 4Runner and then have a hat for sun protection. Meh.

Have an 8 ft ARB awning on mine and have used it several times, very good product, had to replace one pole due to it bending in gale force wind. Other than that love it and will not set it up like I had in that type of wind again. Mine is passenger side, being I wanted the yakima box easily accessible from the driver side, left me room for 3 front runner boxes up top, 2 fold away tables and room for more, all with the sunroof mostly still usable.
