I currently have an Ezi awn and a CVT that are the same size that I use on the back of my beach truck and 4runner on occasions. They both have their pro’s & cons. The Ezi Awn is great because it’s in a hard case that protects it from trees limbs and it rolls up automatically. If you add the side walls which are crazy expensive they do include a pole that beefs up the awning roof pole rails as well. The downsides are its heavy the case doesn’t have provisions to lock it up and the legs don’t feel sturdy and I personally don’t like the riveted roof pole rails even though they have yet to fail.

The CVT-ARB pros are its lighter obviously less complex and just does its job for a lot less plus the side walls cost a lot less. Cons the storage bag is prone to getting shredded by tree limbs and the legs feel flimsy as well. Also the ARB side walls fit the CVT since my old ARB awning became a Giant Taco after a big storm one night on the beach. Having owned the ARB and a CVT I have to say they are one in the same…

If I buy another roll out awning it will honestly be none of the above, I will probably try a James Baroud or something else on the next go around.

First time out with the Rhino Rack Sunseeker II before the lift kit went on.

I went with Rhino Rack because I'm not a fan of of ARB. Don't get me wrong, ARB will get the job done, but I liked how the Rhino Rack one looked on the aero crossbars and it was a pretty painless install.

Yes its just the standard model. I have the parts for the extended version but haven't gotten around to installing it yet.

I've always wanted a Hannibal awning. Easy to set up and no vertical poles. Good luck finding one stateside though.

Cool. I'll be do identical ordering the slimline II and just got my 2000 arb awning in Friday. Very nice rack . I'm just going 3/4 as I have a sunroof.
