Back seat socket to usb

Thanks. I've been fooling around with it and determined I can wedge something between the back of the center stack and the seat to push it back far enough. Classy.

I was surprised that on my SR5 Premium, the glovebox ports are blanks.

You could always wire a 12v socket into the blank vice a USB port then you could plug in whatever you needed.

Hey, just wondering if anyone has switched the two old cigarette lighters in the back seat for usb plugs? I hope someone found a perfect fit for direct replacement.

Has anyone figured out how to do this yet? All I've seen so far are alternatives. I would like to swap these out for USB as well. I have found several nice USB replacements but I'm not sure how to safely remove the center console panel to get to the back side of these plugs.

You don’t need to remove the center console unless you plan on running constant hot.

Just shove a plastic pry tool between the trim pieces starting at the top and use your hands to firmly pull back. Do on both sides and start from the top working your way down. Also open the armrest so you can shimmy and wiggle the trim piece free.

Note though that these usb socket replacements will not sit flush(at least the ones I found on amazon). I only did the left side because I still wanted one 12v socket back there
