Back up camera notice

Well, seems toyota is fessing up to their defective back up camera's. Recieved notification in the mail today that its going to be covered for 6 years/no mileage. One week after the 3 year full warranty expired my camera bought the farm. Toyota sucked it up and covered it under warranty. (At least the 2nd toyota dealer did. The first had to ask and wait around for days...f==that, so I left)

Just got a chuckle at the mailling I got today. If any folks have paid out of pocket it appear they'll reimburse you too.

And what backup camera issue are you talking about?



I haven't had any problems on my 2005 yet.

I can confirm. I received the notice about a week ago. My appointment with the dealer is this week.

Props to Toyota for realizing they have an issue and fixing it.

Better Late than Never

Just got mine today. Of course my camera went out several months ago and I had it replaced - at my cost. Guess I will send the receipt in and see if Toyota makes good.
