Make sure your wiper arm is parked properly. It sounds like the relay is engaging but something back there is not.
You might have a broken wire that you need to locate.
You can use a multi meter to check to see if you have power to the motor when you hit the switch.

When you have the switch out to clean, make sure to be thorough. Also while you're in there you could use a 000 steel wool to clean contacts. Lastly, put an ohm meter on the switch terminals directly, see if you get a reading when you engage switch.
Good luck!

Another thought... Is it possible the soda got into the window lock switch and those connectors aren't sending signal...

I had a similar incidence occur, except spilled a sh!t ton of iced coffee all over the switch. Darn cup holders don't hold mason jars! Mine works from the key lock (which I just figured out, d'oh!) but does nothing with the switch, and only clicks on "UP". And I'm NOT experienced with electrical stuff, so I'd be interested to see what other people say. Hope it's nothing complicated!
