I had someone riding in the backseat of my '14 4Runner yesterday and they tried to plug in a car charger to both rear power outlets and neither one of them supplied any power. My front seat one worked however. It's normally just me and my wife in my vehicle so this is the first time they had even been in use since I purchased in February. Just wondering if it's possible a fuse could be bad already? I hit a deer a couple of months back and had to have some repair work done, but I wouldn't think that anything electrical would have been affected by that.

I haven't tried them out yet either, so I would have been confused at first too. This would have my first check though.
I have an '07 Sequoia as well and the backseat outlets work independently without use of the power button. I thought the driver's power button only controlled the cargo area outlet. That's how my Tacoma was. The power button controlled the outlets in the bed of the truck only.

All my prior vehicles were the same way. A little weird, but oh well. It's probably a way to cut down on the electrical load when items are plugged in, but not in use.
Well, reading this thread got me curious. It would be odd indeed if the 120 VAC power button had to be pushed to turn on the 12 VDC outlets.
Then I read the manual section that was linked, which is the same as the paper manual. It most definitely does NOT say that the 120 VAC button must be pushed to use the 12 VDC power outlets. Instead it says that the 12 VDC outlets will work when the ignition is in either the run or accessory position, as is typical for many vehicles.
As a final check, I went out to my T4R and checked all the 12VDC outlets. All the 12 VDC outlets are off when the ignition switch is off, and all are on when the switch is in either the run or accessory position, just as the manual states. The button for 120 VAC does NOT need to be pushed to use the 12 VDC outlets.
It appears that jordan_tm may have a bad fuse or some other fault causing his problem.

OK, quick update. The 12V outlet at the front of the vehicle and the one in the cargo area both work but the two coming out of the center console into the backseat do not. I checked the fuse labeled OUTLET and it is in tact. Looking like a trip to the dealer is in the future.
