Backspacing: Tacoma Snowflakes 16" - what spacer amount

Currently running those wheels on my '96 with very worn 265/75-16 Toyo MTs. They are like +30 offset so there is a lot of backspacing (>5"). Puts the tire real close to the upper control arm/ball joint. While I didn't see any signs of rubbing, it's super close, less than a 1/4". I have seen signs of real slight rubbing on the frame rails though.

I have a set of these to put on my 2000 4x4, no lift, and want to use 265/75/16 tires. Looking at "hub converters" or "spacers" and not clear on what size converter or spacer to make the tires sit well in the wells without problems. I know this subject has been covered a lot but trying to find answer to my specific situation now that I found the rims. Hopeless Diamond says they have a 5" inset. Not sure what inset stock 4runner wheels have and trying to decide spacer width needed. Can't resurrect the thread where somebody had beautiful pair of this they painted gun metal gray and said it needed spacers.

I ran them with 265/75/16 Toyo MTs on my stock 96 with no spacer. Barely brushed the frame (didn't know it till I took them off) They cleared the TBU, it did have the tire close to the upper ball joint spindle, but never made contact

I ran a set with 265/75/16 Yokos and it was fine. I believe there's a 0.75 inch difference in the offset of the snowflakes and the stock 5 stars.

You mean like this color?

No official measurements, but they have a little bit more negative offset and clear the larger calipers like others said, that's why I put on a set compared to the split-spoke style. It's really not that much different though, 4Runners and Tacomas have a very similar front suspension.

To be honest, I'd just put them on and then decide later if you want spacers. A little rubbing at full lock isn't going to destroy anything.
