Backup camera fixed...and by a good dealer too

A few weeks ago, my backup camera just quit. I have 45,000 miles on the truck, yet Keith Pierson Toyota in Orange Park, FL replaced it, free of charge, in one day.

I'm not much on dealerships, but this was a nice experience. Very friendly, very professional dealership, well-run, didn't try to BS me with "extras" that needed fixing, etc. Also appeared to be very concerned about my satisfaction.

So maybe there are exceptions.

No kidding? 45,000 miles? Does standard waranty expire at 36,000 miles? Do you have extended waranty for your 4Runner?

No extended warranty, just the regular deal.

These guys were great. All I did was speak to the service manager and explain that this $2000 option should not simply quit after a year and a half. He agreed, was sympathetic, said he had to check with Regional. Took all of 5 minutes, he came back and said no problem. He actually apologized for MY inconvenience and asked if I needed a loaner ( I didn't ).

This dealership / service area is completely state of the art. I have never seen anything like this. 2 Hunter 9700 machines. A snack bar/deli. The service bay is huge - it can probably hold 30 vehicles with a lot of space in between each one. AND - here's the kicker - completely immaculate. Not a drop of oil or grease on the floor. VERY clean, which adds a nice professional look to it.

I am impressed...and not easily so.

Wow, very impressive. I wish I could find just ONE decent service department in this area. So far, no luck.
