SO last Wed I went to start my 98 T4R and there was nothing, No clicking like if the battery was dead. I tried turning the ignition maybe 5 times. So i jumped the battery car started and all seemed ok (I did notice there was more battery acid than normal and checked my oil three weeks ago and there was no acid then). So Fri afternoon it did it again. I was headed to work so I just tried jumping it again. Well this is where the fun began. I went to start my truck and the horn was going crazy and there was smoke/small flame coming off my positive terminal on the battery. And I know i hooked up the cables correctly. (as i run the scenario in my head over and over). The battery + terminal was fried. So I got a new battery and + terminal and hooked it up and nothing again. I checked the fuses and what I could see the ALT 100A fuse and 15a dome are the only ones blown. So now im guessing and hear its my Main relay and possibly others that may be toast. Has this happened to anyone else or know of any things to look at. Starter, EFI, ECM, ALT. (ALT was replaced two years ago and have 232k on the engine) Any info will help. i do have a buddy coming over to look at it. Also the headlights may be the only thing that works.
