Bad Throttle Position Sensor Symptons?

Hey guys. My T4R has been getting hard to start after warm-up, and kinda bogs down/backfires while driving.

I've already replaced the fuel filter with no change. My next suspected problem part would be the TPS.

Has anyone been down this road, and is that a logical start?

Check your fuel pressures(rest-regulator and running-pump). Ethanol is doing a number on the fuel systems on these old trucks.

Bad tps usually creates a very rough sparatic idle and make vehicle almost and sometimes non drivable. Not sure with these old 4 runners but a lot of vehicles if you have a bad sensor try unhooking it and running it and the computer will use factory default setting for that sensor. Once again I'm not sure it will work but it did on my 93 gmc jimmy I had and it only takes a minute to try it

Now if we can get some weather warmer than 19 degrees I'll go and tinker with it. I have some goodies I need to add on - cargo rack, HID off-road lights...etc.
