Just want to throw this out there, I will drive a decent distance to get help with changing these things out. The ball joints and CVs.
I'm from central Indiana (stop laughing), live in Crooked Chicago but driving is never out of the equation.
I drove to DC for a weekend ruck event - now that was a bit nuts..LOL
So if anyone in the Midwest -ish area can tolerate me for a few hours, I'm down to drive and do the work.
I am a young Jedi of T4R. There must be a Yoda out there.

If you're from the midwest area, I assume so is your runner. Which means there's probably a bit of rust underneath. Before you wrench on it, hit the bolts up with some PB Blaster (or some other type of penetrating oil). It will reduce some of the headaches of trying to remove them.

As Tim just said above, if you do this yourself (which you should), buy them from Camelback.... Every local dealer I have ever dealt with can not even come close to touching their prices.

Local dealers are a joke, online is the way to go; Camelback is hard to beat.
I got my LBJs off eBay, but I just saw Amazon had them for $98 each a day or two ago with free shipping for Prime members
Shop smart, there are deals to be found out there

My local dealer will match camelbacks pricing and I don’t have to pay shipping. Some dealerships will do that if you plan on buying parts through them

You might want outer tie rod ends too. I ended up crushing the threads because they were so seized.
I wanted to but they were way high, picked up a OEM pair on epay.

I was just looking at Ebay and Amazon. How do you know you're getting true OEM and not an "OEM Fit"?

They were listed as genuine. The price was a good one, but not in the "too good to be true" range. And being Amazon, I knew I could return them if they weren't OEM.
You need a certain number of posts (I think 15) before you can start your own threads. Cuts down on the bots.
If you end up finding someone or set up a "fix LBJ" day I'd be in to watch, help and also do mine if I have the parts by then. I'm near O'Hare and can probably get us shop space to work in (not a lot of tools though) in Schaumburg.
