Barcelona Red 4Runners! Let's see them!

Hi everyone!

This is my 2015 SR5. Not much done to it except for the obvious. I do have some aftermarket modifications in mind that I’d like to do, hopefully soon. Lately, I’ve been debating removing it’s stock side steps, but haven’t quite yet fully committed. Mainly because I’m barely 5’4” and the steps have helped tremendously

So finally a sunny day here in North Carolina. Bought her a week ago and got the XP stuff on there. I have to say I feel like I'm copying SmithRunner20 but... ya, ok, I am :becky:

Got the TRD skid plate in the garage ready to be painted.

Got the black valances being delivered today.

Sheesh! Just love it!

I was wanting to get the skid too, but didn't want the silver. Are you planning on rattle can spraying?

Spent the day putting the new black valances on. Can't understand why they come in silver... just don't look good that way.

And yes, that's the plan. Although I did a stupid today... I had finished painting it yesterday and it was sunny so thought I'd put it out in the hot sun to bake a bit. When I went to turn the 4Runner around to put the back valance on I forgot it was in the driveway.. CRUNCH. Bent it back into shape and touched it up but no clue if its done for.

Had some bad pinstriping/damage from the last couple of outings. Had it paint corrected and ceramic coated, love this color!

That looks so awesome! What size lift do you have on it? Mind getting a side view? I'm thinking about a lift and not sure how high I want it.

Whelp, after messing around w/ the redimensioning of the skid plate I have finally decided that no matter what my abilities are, I will not be able to make it look good enough for a vehicle with only 200 miles on it The driver side weld had broke so I tried using JBWeld. While that worked out really good (sanded it down and the bond is very strong), I was unable to tighten the bend (make it a crisp angle) in the corner of the skid plate on the driver's side. So I just ordered another one.

With that said, the paint held up pretty well lol. I used Rust-Oleum High Performance V2100 black semi-gloss. I don't think I cleaned the plate well enough so I had a couple glossy spots but since it would have been under the truck it wouldn't have shown.

After running the thing over, the paint actually held up well if that's any indication of the paint.

This time around I'm going with Flat Black to avoid the glossy spots (Rust-Oleum High Performance V2100 part V2178838).

So, anyone want to buy a well used, black, somewhat bent TRD Skid plate? It looks like it has a lot of good stories to tell!
