Left Houston, Texas on Oct. 24th at 3:30pm. Caught traffic on the Beltway out of town.
Headed north on Hwy 59, towards Nacogdoches, then onward to Gilmer where Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area is located.
Pulled into camp, a 2,000 acre property purchased by off-roaders, for off-roaders, at 9:00pm. Followed an access road through the dark to one of the primitive camps where some Tacomworld members were already set up.
On Saturday, we had a drivers meeting, and then broke into two groups; big boys and close to stock rigs. I was in the 'close to stock' which had a guide and trailer of heavily modded Jeeps, with Tacomas, Jeeps, Broncos and me, the lone 4Runner.
Followed this Bronco into Clyde's Ravine, a level 2, maybe 3, frame twister.
Teeter totter.
Really tested the limits of a stock 4Runner. Later on, i had a rear tire about 4 1/2" off the ground doing a three wheel limbo.
Careful Kyle, don't rip off that front bumper.
Had a little break to see the surrounding country side.
East Texas hills.
The groups got split at a major decent which required some armor, like skids, sliders and bumpers. Us stockers and the trailing Jeep played around near the access road and made way back to camp for lunch.
After lunch, I got to hitch a ride with some Tacomworld brethren, and rode with Thatguy18 in his 2003 Tacoma.

Did some level 3s and 4s. All three of those rigs were lifted up to 3", all had armor, two had winches, two had rear lockers and all had off-roading experience. I was impressed with what they could do and began to think of what was next on my list for mods. I added it up, financially, then got depressed. One at a time for mods i guess.
