Battery help please

Yes I agree. Right now when I turn the key, the battery starts ok for about half a second. Then it drops off considerably right before it starts, almost killing the battery. Hope it lasts till Tuesday.

Check out the piece of s$;$: that's in there right now:

Have you checked the water levels in the battery... Mine was recently cranking slower than normal. Peeled off the decals, popped the caps and added 1/2 gal of DISTILLED water and it has been fine.

Good Luck!!

Thanks. Yes I did that last week. Added about half a gallon.
No success. It's a crap battery that's about 2 years old now.

OK battery show and tell time:
-it even says Toyota on it.
-Wilson Toyota in Bellingham; very helpful and friendly people.

It looks like the new battery is not made by panasonic like the original. The panasonic batteries seemed to last very long. It would be interesting to see who makes the replacements.

this has been discussed like a million times on this board, the panasonic battery can only be bought in Japan. And i dont think you can fly there and bring one back because its not allowed on airplanes.

Actually you can ship the battery as checked luggage. If I was going to Japan I would bring one back with me.

interesting .... i work on aircraft and lead acid batteries are not suppose to be even used due to it being a hazmat item .....

also i dont think it would be worth it to pay the extra over weight fees to get a battery on the plane when partznet has the trustart for only $77 .... (free shipping if u get $100 worth of stuff)
