battety issue

I just drove 8 hours straight with no issues. Ireached my house ..turned off the runner and it was stilll dark outside so the head lights stayed on. I in packed the thing no more than 10 minutes and I noticed the head lights dimming....sure as veal I tries starting it and it was dead.....just click click click. Any ideas? Just bad battery? It's a couple yrs old.

It wouldn't have made the 8 hour trip with a bad alternator. My vote is a bad battery. Get it tested somewhere.

Yes I think you must need to change battery and also try to check your connections.

Battery is only a year and a half old....but I too was thinking bad battery. At Toyota dealership now trying to get a pro rate. Have a feeling its more trouble than worth. Prob should have pulled it myself and took it to sears to get new one....I hate being out of town..

Go to autozone, they will test your starter, alternator, and battery for free. I personally think it's the alternator, but then again, I'm sure everyone has their own opinion. Do check the connections (wiggle them) and make sure it's all tight on the battery!
