Bay Area 4runners Hollister Trip (Pics Added)

Just seeing if anyone from the Bay Area or near by wants to meet up at Hollister Hills this weekend. I'm thinking of going either Sunday or Monday. It isn't supposed to rain, as of now, Sunday. I'm not 100% sure if I'm going, but I wanted to see if anyone else would want to meet up.

I'm in for sometime in march dude. I need to get the new tires installed before I can go wheeling (i decided to go with new tires instead of messing with suspension). But I'd really like to get out there with some locals and learn a bit about off roading. It would be my first time with my own rig.
 
Have a snow camping outing to go to this weekend, any time after that I'm available. Really wanna go to hollister, been to prairie city and carnegie so far.
 
Yeah I would try to go more, but I don't want to mess up my 95 before I sell it. Once I get my 3rd gen I will be trying to go at least once a month somewhere. Hollister is only 45 mins from me so it is easy to make a quick trip out there. We should definitely try to plan a trip for March.

Where are you planning on "snow camping" this weekend? Get ready for some snow! Tahoe should be getting 2' at lake level, 3' at 7000' and around 4-5' along the ridge line by Sunday morning! Be ready for some white stuff!! Have fun!! :cheers:

Hehe yup looks like we're gonna get some fresh powder. I'm camping near Bear Valley, with my Boy Scout Troop and it will be my first outing as an adult, since I turn 18 tomorrow. If anyone cares I turned in my Eagle application today! :guitar2:
 
Whats the difficulty rating? Not too far of a trip for me if its not gonna eat a guy alive :uzi:
Dare I ask if a stock would be okay out there?

The wheeling is ok. Nothing too special, but is fun for a few hours. A lot of the trails you can do in 2wd for the most part then switch it to 4wd when needed. Might be different now that it has been raining. There are some more difficult trails that would require armor and modifications. Not the greatest place to go, but good enough for how close it is to me. I have gone stock with my 95 and my old 99 Tacoma and did just fine. Just need to pay attention more and pick your lines right.

That would be sweet. Always nice to see more 4runners out on the trails.
 
I'm interested in meeting, I'm trying to get a few other local buddies to head out with me in their rigs. Any confirmed so far? I would be up for anyday but prefer Sat or Sun.
 
I'm not confirmed yet, but Sun looks to be the best weather and might work out best with me. I'm going to talk to my friend who has a Tacoma.
 
Of course you could bring people. The more the merrier. I should be confirming plans tonight.

Edit: I will be going sunday. Probably getting there around 10 or 11 and staying till around 2.
