what issues do i need to know about the vehicle? and what should i look for before purchasing?

So far i have noticed it Pops-out of 1st gear, and has noise (whine) when the clutch is engaged, had a new clutch kit put into 1 year ago. was thinking throwout bearing?

Heard that Headgaskets may be an issue, have checked rad and no milky residue at this time.

anything else i should look into?

Throwout bearing sounds right to me. Headgaskets are a common issue with 3.0s. Check for rust, that is a problem in a lot of areas.
