I got my 4runner in july it was pretty ugly and beat up when I got it. Picked it up for $1500 with about 158000 miles on it. Needed new tires (Hercules A/T's 265/70/16) and all the fluids changed. Here's a pic of around the time I got it. (very ugly)

I had some stuff I transferred over from my last rig (blazer) most stuff didn't fit but roof basket and lights I could salvage. Removed the running boards as well.(I hate running boards) This is the first time I've had it off road.

I'm a bit of a stereo nut and I had to put a system in it. Don't currently have any pictures of it yet I'm still trying to make the amp rack and sub box look nice. as for the specs I have polk mm component speakers in the doors and a 10" polk sr sub in the back. Both of my amps are ssl. I have the apline ida-x305s works great with my iphone. I also have a cobra 19 cb radio and a 8' whip coming off my rear bumper. Then I picked up some wheels off of craigslist I think they are cragars not 100% sure. 16x8's they were on some old chevy I think.

I also hate two tones and white and silver are just gross together I think... So I decided to paint it and paint the wheels black. I think it looks much better.
Here are the most recent pics I took just tonight.

I plan on lifting it someday, kinda limited budget I'm a junior in college. I'm debating whether I want some off roading bumpers or just replace my stock ones. The front bumper is all messed up and the rear is rusty. There much more to come probably a lot of little things right now. I'd like to get some seat covers and weathertech mats, maybe a power programmer for now.

Man after my own heart. I just started a budget build on my 3rd Gen. A little constructive criticism if you don't mind: ditch the wheels and go back to the factory wheels, they look much better on it. Good luck.

imo I really don't like the stock wheels at all... I know steelies don't look the best on 4runners but I paid $75 for those wheels and sold my stock ones for $150 so I made some money. I'm looking to get some **** cepeks eventually. the torques not the dc2 since so many people have the dc2's.

I go to school in Elizabethtown, and I'm out of Harrisburg. I also have a cabin up near lock haven lol thats closer to new york. I'd like to hit up rausch creek I've been there with my blazer a few times. My membership is gonna expire soon too...

ok so I've reached the point where I'm ready to lift. (sort of) one of my rear shocks broke off so its giving me an excuse to get a lift. I was originally going to save up for a sonoran lift but I don't have that much money right now. I don't just want to buy one shock because I'd be scrapping it soon anyway for the lift. I'm considering the ome lift. I have one question about it I haven't really seen anything about it either. The ome lift is 3" but it doesn't seem like it comes with a diff drop? will this prove to be a problem with my cv axles? I had this problem with my blazer and I really don't want to be replacing cv's and hubs every few months

I used it with my blazer. haven't got around to get sliders for my 4runner yet. and I could use it on my receiver if I really needed to

i used to be able to do that but after the lift there is no way the back tires are coming off the ground lol

yea my blazer was the same way. The high lift comes in handy. I was stuck in deep mud with my blazer and I broke a vavle stem, popped the hi lift on changed my tire in the mud. kinda sucked it was like 35 degrees out and getting dark haha, plus my idiot friend kept dropping my lugs in the mud puddle

So I ordered my ome lift from toytec October 25th. I never recieved a tracking number for my package. so after two weeks I called and asked them what was going on. The lady told me that my order was lost. ok so they gave me free three day shipping. I just got it in the mail yesterday, cool right? I opened the box to only find coil springs no shocks. So I called again and they lady said oh I don't know why they didn't send you the shocks. So I explained to her that I really need them my rear shocks are completely shot and thats the whole reason I ordered this lift. So she went and talked to their manager and they are over-nighting my shocks so I have them tomorrow to put them on. I have never had such a problem with a website before and I will NEVER order from toytec again. They may have lost close to $400 with all their mess ups with the 3 day shipping and now the overnight.

Well at least they are making it right. Some companies won't even bother, like Ballistic Fabrication.

As someone who has been part of a small business with inventory control, it is imperative that more than one person is aware of the customer order from cradle to grave. That way before it moves out the door, all the ducks are in a row. If they utilize Peachtree or Quickbook's tools, this should never happen. Downey, before going out of business, was pretty infamous for their mistakes as well.

Take some pics after the lift.

Looking good bud.. I've also had a "Lost" package from Toytec. It must be our area.. or something.. Maybe the Amish have a hardcore FedEx jacking mafia?

I'm in Lancaster btw. JUST off of 283.
