Best Deal on Toyota Brand WS ATF?

Hi guys,

I will finally be doing a series of drain n fills on my 2006 4Runner V6.

The Toyota WS ATF is crazy expensive (~$14/qt). Given that I need about a dozen quarts of this stuff, that comes out to about $183 with tax.

I'm wondering if anyone has any sources or recommendations on how to get this stuff cheaper?

i got this for 5.86 a quart but it looks like the deal is gone now. keep on looking maybe it will come back. Now it is $12.56

I went to my dealer and paid 90ish for the case. They gave a hell of a deal when I got a whole case.

I got mine for 7.56 per QT from my dealer. Depends what kind of relationship you have with one of the parts guys. I always get wholesale price.

My local dealer has stunningly good prices if you order on-line. A couple of weeks ago, I paid $6.93/qt for WS. I don't get hit with a shipping charge because I pick up my orders, but it's still a great deal if you're not local.

You can search fluids by part numbers. For example, ATF WS is Part # 00289-ATFWS and it'll come up if you enter it into the search box at the parts page. Fluids don't show up on their parts diagrams with hot links like the parts do.

Call your local dealers. Theres a local one I use virtually all the time and always get a discounted price. Like was mentioned, you catch a break buying a case. Also, look up the "flush" procedure using the transmission cooling line. It really goes much easier and less waste. Just be sure to only pump out about 2 qts, or so, at a time so there's no risk of running the fluid pump dry. It really in pretty easy.
