Best gas mileage

Today I hit 304 miles on 15.5 gallons just shy of 20 MPG'S. First time I get this great mileage on a single tank. A small tune-up does a world of change. I also purchased new Firestone Destination A/T, 265/75-16 and did an alignment a month ago. I am very pleased on how the 4R is running!

The best I have done is 23.2. That is on p rated 265/70/17's running 40 psi. I did not go over 65 or stop until it was time to fill up again.

Best I have gotten was 21.x mpg.

My personal best was 23 and change. Spark plugs, O2 sensors, cleaned MAF were the things I did.

Cruise control always on highway helps get your MPGs up there.

I got 17.3 driving 1400 miles one time. That was on 33" tires at 50psi. I wish i could get what you guys get.

I need to check the psi.

I changed the spark plugs and wires with NKG's. Replaced the fuel filter, air filter, swapped out the O2 with a used one I had laying around. I was forgetting, I installed a used OEM muffler around a month ago as well. I should have cleaned the MAF, I'll do that this weekend.

I always use cruise control on the highway. I'm getting about 19 mpg in my 98 on 265/70/16. My '00 got at best 17 mpg

Meanwhile my old man is still trucking along at 12-13 mpg in his '01 Ram - the 5.9L is a killer

I usually get between 18-19 city when I'm driving an automatic. When I have a 5 Speed I only get 17. Perhaps I'm a little heavy winding the gears out.
