Best maintenance tracker/log app?

I have been tracking my maintenance (oil, rotations etc) using Notes app on my Iphone. Very simple and for the most part easy to follow, however I would like to possibly go more in detail and get reminders.

I also have to track my mileage daily for work, i use "Mileage" for that, its very simple and can print a spreadsheet quick.

What do you use for keeping up with your vehicle Maintenance/Rotations/Repairs/Mileage/Reminders etc.

If we have another thread on this, please post a link!

Thank you

I've been using an excel spreadsheet. I plug in the mileage my truck is at and it tells me how many miles I've had on my oils, rear differential, tires, whatever else I've changed.

Edit: I use excel for gas mileage logging every fill up since I bought it a few years ago. Also, for managing my build list parts/costs and future part planning.

In for replies. I have been using Evernote. While it works, something more streamlined for vehicle maintenance would be nice.

I also use the Fuel log app to track gas mileage. I believe there is a paid version of this app that allows you to add maintenance items.

Same, I've been using Excel. For gas mileage I have been using fuelly.

You may want to also check out aCar.

Laugh if you will but when I bought mine I actually registered at the Toyota website where you can log your maintenance and did enter a couple oil changes. But it was too tedious so I just keep sending myself emails every now and then.

I use the Toyota owners website to log maintenance items too.

iOS - Auto Care (red logo with car)
Android - aCar

Anything is better than nothing.
I use a new .doc file, consisting of the previous one + new entries. File name is date of the new entries. Saved to the cloud, a couple of them.

Two low use vehicles so there's only three or four entries per year.

I'm super low tech. For most of my maintenance plans and Mods I've got a few word docs with details and links to instruction or products. (I have sooooo any bookmarks!)

For maintenance tracking I just make notes in the hand book that came with the truck. :) Works for me, and I have no need to make notes that'll handed off to others.

However, if Inv4drZm or Whammy wouldn't mind sharing the Excel doc they used, I'd be willing to give that a try. :hello:

Here is an example of mine. Pretty basic but easy to add to, I've only been using it for a month or so. Just plug in the "current mileage" field and it updates the "mile since."

Oh great! Thanks for you excelers! I have done some good documents for work and honestly didn’t even think of creating one for this! Well I guess I’ll do one or modify above!

Gonna try a couple of mentioned apps as well!

Do any of the apps allow for pictures to be added? I'd like something that I can take pictures of the issue, as well as add pictures of receipts and such.

I use Fuel Buddy on Android. You can add photos of receipts and sync with others (my wife and I both can log fill ups). It also supports multiple vehicles.

I use fuelly to track gas mileage. It can also track maintenance and maintenance cost. I don't really use that part much. I track my maintenance with microsoft Onenote. It works well for me and you can also insert pictures into your Onenote digital notebooks.

These are all nice things. Since I just got my runner I need to start doing this.

Now with all the replies here, there HAS to be someone in IT or computer stuff that can create an app that would do what we are all wanting.

Come one guys/gals - create that app!
