Best Performance Upgrades

Still can't believe some people did the "deckplate mod", cut your box for little to no effect, sounds great...

I actually did it to get hotter air into the engine in winter to aid in warmup and see what it does for mpg.

It's very interesting information but I'd like to know more information about it. To sum up I want to point out that it's https://www.topspeed.com/cars/the-best-fuel-injector-cleaners-for-your-car-ar188584.html also an interesting method. What do you think about it?

Fuel injector cleaner can be great depending on what you get. The cheaper stuff is usually just toluene and lacquer thinner (for example Seafoam is just naphtha and isopropyl suspended in pale oil) but other higher quality ones with PEA like BG Platinum and Gumout really do work, Scotty Kilmer memes aside. Redline SI1 or Amsoil PI is my go to, theyre crazy efficient and totally removed all the carbon off my valves, so much so I'm very curious to see what my combustion chamber looks like. The trick is to use it consistently, doing one bottle every 5000 miles like most the manufacturers recommend won't get you far. When i first got my 4runner I would run like 3 bottles/tanks back to back before changing my oil and would drive it HARD in this time. Make sure you have a new fuel filter before doing so to make the most of it
