Best Phone Mount?

I've looked at a bunch out there, but not thrilled with anything tbh. I don't want to cover a vent, so the closest to what I'm thinking is the Pro-Clip console mount.

Anyone find anything they really like?

My favorite is the iOttie Easy One Touch Wireless 2 Qi Car Charger. Been using them for years. Love the telescoping arm and it wirelessly charges. Fast mechanical mount/unmount too. I prefer the left of steering wheel placement since its out of the way but also is on the same plane as the gauges and radio.

Love my Proclip console mount. I have had both the console and air vent mount from then and prefer the console. Out of the way, easy to see, secure.

I’m the opposite. Love the vent mount, and want to love the console mount but our Tacobox shifter makes that space unusable.

Proclip stuff is pricey but seems very stout.

Can you post a pic? This is the one that I think I'm leaning to.

My beef with the offroam is that they try to market it as something other than a vent mount, and it’s a vent mount. It’s easy enough to see this on your own so I dont think they’re being too deceitful, but buyer beware all the same. They claim to get it away from the vent, and they sort of do.

Anyone have off-road experience with the offroam?

Yes. I have two mounted in my 4runner. The phone does not rattle or wiggle. The mount does not wiggle. Its solid.

If you have a CD player (i have a 2019) get the specific mount that mounts to the cd player. Its rock solid.

Yeah, I have this one also:

Toyota 4Runner 2014-2019 (5th Generation) Phone Mount | Offroam

The one I originally linked to doesn't mount to the CD player like this one does - I should have looked more carefully before the cut/paste. Bouncing around on offroad trails, the phone doesn't move, much less fall out.

That said, I think the OP has a 2021, so this CD version probably won't work.

Correct - I have a 2021. I really would like a mount that comes out of the stupid slot attached to the cupholder. That spot seems pretty useless to me.

I've been happy with the offroam unit in my 4R. Wasn't sure about the location, but the arm is infinitely adjustable and once it gets tightened no rattles.

I didn’t want anything blocked, but wanted good visibility and convenience. There was nothing on the market that met my expectations, so I made my own. It is absolutely perfect and even allows me to use FaceID to unlock without moving the phone from the mount.

Parts were relatively inexpensive (Amazon) and it was really easy to do. I’m using an iPhone that has MagSafe compatibility, but you could use a ProClip phone specific cradle or genetic magnet, whatever works best for you.

Here’s a photo of the finished product. I’ll link my build thread below where you can find details.

I went with a plain ol’ console saddle bag. Suits my needs well, but not exactly a mount as much as storage.

Care to link to this. This might actually be what I am looking for since I don't really use my phone when driving. Also, I like that shorter cable.

Thanks.
