Best place to buy OEM CV's

Anyone have the most recent place with the best price on OEM CV's?

Does anyone know if the rumor that the GX460 cv's are actually updated versions of the 4runner/gx470 cv's and they also work for us?

Price fluctuations for OEM has ranged from 320 to 550 from what ive seen over the years

Call Robert Anderson at Henderson Toyota (Vegas). Robert works in car sales (internet) but they have a growing after market section and he has access to good prices on all OEM (and I think Icon?) parts.

I usually use Amayama for parts like that, but they're wayyyy over CamelBack on the entire CV assembly (4343060061). Maybe I have the wrong part number? Camelback has it listed for $394.

I'm sub'ing to this thread to see what prices get thrown around.

Toyota 43430-60061, CV Axle Shaft is the part Number I used. So I believe that is correct. Cross referenced on a few different sites too

I bought used ones a member was selling on the forums even cheaper than what you can find them for on Ebay ($70/an axle shipped from LKQ). Regreased and rebooted them myself so I don't have much $ in them.

A pretty cost-effective option.

I was going to reboot my original OEM's but keep them as spares. at a certain point bearings and gear teeth have to wear and allow for some play. Im just looking to see if any forum members have the best priced place to get OEM new axles from since they range so dramatically in price. On the low end, a brand new one is less then 75$ more then a rebuilt one with keeping my original for a spare.

Every time I buy OEM parts I do a search and check many websites seeking the least expensive, the lowest prices I've found seems to always be McGeorge Toyota, I have only on very rare occasions found a part from any other source that beat their prices and it's usually only by a couple of dollars or less, but it very rare fom my experience.

Now I very rarely check any other sites, I just go straight to McGeorge for my OEM purchases.

So left and right side are identical? You just order two of that same part number? Is there anything else needed like seals, etc?

Needed No... highly recommended.. both the oil seals. Which are different part numbers for each side.

I will second that wholeheartedly. I ripped one of the original seals (or maybe it was already ripped) when I changed my CV out. I was able to find a new one at an Advance Auto, but yeah, PITA for sure not to just have it in case.

I am going to vouch for CVJ...

I had a great experience, they came fast, got my core charge back quickly and the axles were freshly painted and in very good shape. I went with their OEM boot option since I have a lift and wheel the car as often as possible, to avoid any future rips. Personally I did not see the value in their 'strongest' boot option, the OEM ones are the best option IMO.

Great prices too! Originally I was going to bite the bullet and go OEM but I am glad I did not. Saved me a few hundred bucks too!
