best place to taap power for rear aux lights?

I am going to put a set of lights under the rear bumper, planning to use one of the OEM looking dash switches for rear lights.

Where is the best place to tap for power for these lights? I am thinking preferably(if possible) on that same power source that the headlights use which have the "auto shutoff" feature after 5 minutes of the car being off?

I know a few people have done lights like this, so curious to know where power was taken from. I have not seen any specific details except when they connected it to the trailer reverse wire.

I will probably frame ground the lights, then run a single power wire from the back down the drivers side, if I can find a boot to go into, and through the side to the dash.

Is there a 7 prong plug for towing? if so it has a ground and hot lead in that. idk what year, model or options you have,

I ran a wire to the rear liftgate through the roof. I used fish tape through the liftgate wire harness to the A-post, then dropped the wire under the dash to the engine compartment.

thanks for the info! I will need to take a closer look, and hopefully find a wire too tap under the dash
