Best Tires for our 4th Gens

I was just curious what other 4th gen owners have to say about tire selection. I am not concerned about the sizes but more what brands work best for our trucks. I want an All terrain tire that can handle some occasional towing without wearing down the tread too much.

talking about tire brands is nearly as bad as talking about religion or politics. but my vote as always for all terrains goes with the BFG T/A KO but theyre very expensive and now many brands offer great alternatives at a lower price.

I usually find that those that are round, made of rubber, OD larger than the ID, yada yada seems to work well.

So much depends on where you drive, how you drive, what you look for in a tire, how much you want to spend, etc.. I usually read thru the reviews on tirerack.com after deciding if I want an AT tire, a highway all season, performance all season, high performance all season, ultra high performance all season, touring, highway summer, performance summer, high performance summer, ultr high performance summer.... (get the idea?). After I decide what category I want, then it's off to the tire comparison charts and reviews.

I used to run Michelin LTX and Bridgestone REVO's but they're pricey and I have found other tires that I like just as well for 1/2 to 2/3 the cost. Firestone Destination LT's (highway AS), Destination AT's, General Grabber UHP have all done me well.

Nothing but Michelins for me. Well over 100k on every AT tire I have had and they were exqual or better in snow than others and better on ice. They are also quiet and ride great.

Yes, I like Michelins as well. I have the Latitude Tour HP. Great for highway driving but not really meant for off road.

LTX M/S 2 are excellent on and medium off road
