best type/brand of gasoline for a 4runner?

I agree you must avoid any gas that contains alcohol. It did a real number on my Carb. used on my 82 Bronco. I now drive and extra 4 miles to a local Shell station that sells real gas without any alcohol. it cost more but it's worth every penny.:awais:

Be glad that you have a choice. Here in The People's Republic of N.Y you can't buy gas without alcohol in it

Unfortunately we in the 'Hills have either 85 octane(regular) or 88 octane(super unleaded w/ethanol) or the high price premium 91 octane for choices. The 85 octane sucks and I can't afford the premium stuff. So i'm stuck with 88 octane w/ethanol which is even cheaper than the regular unleaded due to South Dakota gas tax. It still runs great with ethanol. But my question is how much more havok is the ethanol on my oxygen sensors and other emissions??

No one will ever admit the truth about what Ethanol will do to any parts of the engine. Trying to come up against the Ethanol people is not going to happen, just to much money is invested in this junk. Ethanol is the great lie they tell you all new engines can use the gas Ethanol mix with not harm to any part of the engine. It's a lie a BIG DAMN lie. Just do some checking around.

If I lived in South Dakota and S.D. used to be a great place to live. But things have changed and not for the better IMHO. I sure would be doing some real *****ing to my States members of Congress. Get things fixed that need fixing.:awais:
