best way to provide more power to v6??

I was wondering if many people that have a V6 T4R do anything to add more hp or torque, whether its for 4wheeling or more power because of larger tires etc..

I was thinking about trying to get more output from mine, but I honestly dont know what the best way to do that is. So, I thougt I would see what everyone else is doing. :thanks:

Tuning. Look up URD. Or my sig which has my power adders. You can get everything except the X1 because its no longer being made.

Lol yea, you know there's definitely times I wish I had the V8, but most the time I'm perfectly happy with the V6

If you want more power or torque to the wheels when wheeling then regear. If you want just more power for everyday driving, try a super charger or intercooled twin turbos, but dont forget to rebuild the bottom of the engine to take the added stress.

I do, the Magnaflow cat back, it sounds nice. My neighbor even commented to me how nice it sounds the other day.

Any chance you could get a decent sound clip or video from inside the car? I was driving around last night ad really appreciated how quiet the stock exhaust. There are times where I want more rumble though.

There's always the TRD supercharger. It's costly, but a safe option.

The torque on the V8 simply cant be described in words. It's only 50 on paper - which is a lot but it feels like so much more. It simply requires 0 effort for the engine to move the 4R.

85% of the peak torque is available UNDER 1800ish rpm - that is insane. The 4R simply moves when you get on the gas. There is no wind up of the engine to get into the power-band, the torque is there from the start. I can accelerate from 0-60 rather quickly while keeping engine RPM's under 2k. Easily.

When I floor it from a stop I'm gone. Under 7 seconds to 60 is no issue for it. I cannot tell you how many 3series, C-class, and other poser-performance cars I have destroyed from stoplights and on the highway when driving enthusiastically.

If you want some extra output from your V6 i would say do simple bolt-on's like intake and exhaust. Those two with a little bit of tuning could produce some good power. Other than that, a supercharger is your best bet at some serious hp and tq! :lookout:

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but if I went with the trd supercharger, would it require changing anything else (chip, transmission etc.)? And does it void the warranty?
