Best Wiper Blades?

Always a tough call, but which brands/models of wiper blades do you all like? I realize it's different for just rain or snow but what's everyone swear by?

I had a set of Bosch Icons that lasted nearly 6 years in central texas heat, every other brand at walmart lasted only 2 yrs or less. :cowboy:

I am on my fourth year with Bosch icons and they are still working great. Not much streaking even when there is just a mist on the windshield.

How are you guys getting so much out of the icons? I'm lucky if I can get a year out of a set.

They are the best I've found though

Stock inserts with proper windshield treatment. not rain x. either ceramic coating or aquapel.

It rains a lot in the northwest and this works for me. Stock blades contour to the windshield better than any aftermarket blade I've used but then again i don't use my blades often because my windshield has been treated.

Rain X Latitude, usually getting three years.

I loved Bosch but the problem I began having with the Icons is that they were too curved and placing too much pressure of the blade on the windshield, thus dragging themselves across it when damp. In rain though, quite good.

Personal experience is that the OEM inserts wipe the best when new, but the Bosch Icons come close and last much longer (I usually keep them ~3 years).

If you go with Bosch ICON, be sure to pair it with some Rain-X Water Repellent! The rain will glide right off. Also the Bosch website lists the compatible wiper as 16" but I swear they should be 17" like OEM. There's enough space on my windshield for a size up...

bosh icon. 2 years of ice, snow and yuck bet I can pull 3 years out of them. got another set ready to go..but will replace this spring....just cause ....

NWB: Nippon Wiper Blade
This is the OEM toyota blade. If you still have the OEM wiper blade in the rear, checkout NWB embossed on it.
Hard to find but I was lucky to get some from eBay. Not pricey either.

I put a set of Icons on my wifes Highlander and they didn't even last a year. I had high hopes based on the reviews but they unfortunately didn't last.

Honestly, I'm still trying to find a set that's worth a damn...

Bosch Icons. Easy enough to find and installs in seconds. I've tried the RainX version, bud didn't care for the mounting contact situation. Mostly just an unfinished aesthetic thing for me.

I have had decent luck with their longevity, but it rains a lot here and I am not going to go driving down the road trying to be economical about making my blades last another year. I change them when it looks like they are wearing out. It rains far too often for me to want to wing it with all the crap drivers here. Hahaha.

Bosch Icons here - first put on Volvo v70, cheaper & better than OEM...got sold on them.
- I use to change them, every 2 years / excellent in winter conditions

Going on a budget DD'er, I will buy Michelin wiper blades @ Costco / similar quality & cheaper, to BOSCH.

Now I coat new wipers first / 24 hours conditioned, in a capped off 1.5" diameter PVC pipe (never used heat).
- the following 303 Aerospace rubber conditioner, is amazing / and windshield even beads off water

What size blades are you guys running driver and passanger sides? The stock size is so dainty

I run Rain X latitudes @ the 18" size on both sides. There's room.
With the RainX the windshield must be clean & coated with RainX. They last much longer that way.
