Best Wiper Blades?

It depends where you live people. If you live where there is no weather sure you'll get 4 years out of them. The best blades only last 6 months if you get severe winters.
 
Wal Mart crap blades....just put a set on when needed. Usually once or twice a year.....way cheaper than the fancy stuff and works just as good. Oh at a lot less cost.
 
Bosch Icons here also. I picked them up 6 months ago based on forum recommendations. Best blades I've used so far. They've work great in rain and snow.

I liked them so much I put a pair on my wife's Subaru.

What is the largest blade size you can install on the driver and passenger sides? I was told 20" (driver) and 18" (passenger) but have not measured them yet. Also, does increasing the size hinder their performance at high speeds?
 
I have a set of SilBlades in my Land Cruiser that have been on there since 2008, and it's only just this year that I'm thinking they might need to be changed. Unfortunately, SilBlade ain't what it used to be, and their new wipers are just not as good as the ones from back then. PIAA seems to be the best option I've found out there, for real all-silicone wipers, and the ones I just put on do a much better job than the PO's Icons. Key thing is, follow the instructions and clean the windshield, then use the wipe-on silicone stuff they give you.

The silicone wipers do a better job, long-term, because they continuously deposit silicone on the windshield as they do their thing. The results are worth the money, in my opinion.
 
With the way a lot of people use their wipers and in what conditions, the ones all around me that I see, it's no wonder wiper blades last most people only a few months at best...
 
Bosch Icon

I put Bosch Icon 19A’s on driver and passenger today. The passenger side I trimmed a 1/4” off the actual rubber so 18” would fit fine on the passenger side unmodified.
 
Resurrecting this to say, a 20” blade will just barely fit on the DS and clear the top of the windshield... I’m getting some lift of the outer tip off the windshield on the downstroke when going 65mph+, haven’t had time to figure out if it’s a weak spring or if the blade is so big it’s creating more lift than the arm can handle.

Just wanted to provide that data point, 20” DS, 18” PS.
 
I've been buying the top end NAPA blades lately. They are pretty much identical to the Bosch, but they are made in Mexico instead of China and are cheaper as well.
 
I been using the Toyota inserts but they discontinued those for full wiper blades.

So I am trying to decide whether to say with OEM or use something else so this thread is very interesting to me. :)

The northeast is hell on wiper blades especially in the winter. Well any area where freezing occurs is actually.

I must admit that the Toyota inserts were seemingly good at first, but not any longer. It has been a couple years though...

Willing to spend more to get something that will last a little longer. Folks still happy with the Bosch Icons and PIAA Super Silicone offerings? Any thoughts on the ideal length?

The best blades I've used are NAPA Winter blades. I put a set on last year and they are in perfect condition. They scrape off mud as well as snow and ice. I've got them on both the Taco and my rig. They're damn good blades.
 
I had to replace mine within 6mo of buying my 4R, but figured it was do to it sitting for a while. I had read that the OEM blades were good so i got them again, hope they don't suck.

Best blades i ever got were triple edge ones, they lasted years.

Thanks man. Checking now on "Napa Winter blades", and not so sure which ones. Are they silicone?

This guy found 17" on the driver side, and maybe 16 on the passenger side best...
