beware, Bilstein warranty restrictions

Torn, I know it's minor I just see they can deny a claim due to cosmetic scratches and wonder if they ever warranty their products. I was looking into 6112's and 5160's next but now will find another brand.

This sounds pretty standard across the board in terms of exception no?

If it’s a 5100, I’d just throw it in the gutter and go buy another. Dealing with the downtime and shipping for warranty is an expense and hassle.

Bilstein says you can't press in new bushings

"Bushings are not covered under Bilstein’s limited lifetime warranty (See screenshot below for restrictions against our warranty policy). If a bushing has failed that prematurely, it’s typically indicative of an installation error. The bushings we use on these units are double bonded and volcanized to the lower eye-ring just like the OE/factory units are which we happen to build for Toyota too. Being that they are double bonded and volcanized, they are not replaceable and therefore not set up for individual purchase. If the bushing has been compromised, the entire unit will need to be replaced."

Successful bushing replacements?

so I know my factory xreas shocks show the bushing to be replaceable, but has anyone replaces 5100 4th gen front lower bushings? I see where it's done on 3rd gen, but couldn't find anything on 4th gens?

I have the 6112s and the bushings are already cracked/ripped. I have less than 1000 miles on them.

yeah, I was wanting 6112's and 5160's next, but now think I need to find an alternative as I figured the 5100's would last at least 50-60K.

Anyone know if these bushings would fit for sure? Saw in comments they fit 1st gen Tundra's when Bilstein said those couldn't be replaced....???
