BF Goodrich All-Terrain Fit for 18" wheels

Is it possible to mount BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires (size 265-65-18) on a stock setup for an Urban Runner? I currently don't have spacers or a lift, but love the tires I had on my Tacoma. I'd rather not install if the difference in size (stock: 265-60-18) versus (265-65-18) will cause rubbing or damage to the vehicle. Thanks for your help!!!

Good question. I know that the 265-70-17 will fit instead of the 265-65-17 but I'm not doing it since the taller spare will not fit in front of my tube-style hitch. Not sure about the 18 but I'm curious as well.

You will most definitely rub at stock height. I remember I driving the truck home with the new tires and no lift. I even rub with spidertrax and a 2.5" lift.

I think you are good to go with 265/65/18 or 275/60/18 at stock height as long as you don't have wheel spacers. And from what I've read, they both should fit in the stock spare location.

like i said, he's going to rub even without spidertrax/wheel adapters.

its common with the bfg ats since they're kinda squared off. u may get slight rub on the uca at full crank but nothing to really worry about, but u may need to move the inner plastic fender forward. I hope they do. I slid under the truck and have some Goodyear tire on as a spare. It is literally 2mm away from the the hitch. If the 265-70-17 is taller than that, will I not have problems fitting it? Does the tube-type hitch come standard on 4Rs? Do I maybe have an aftermarket hitch?

flyer, u should be able to fit up to a 32.2 tire up there. is this like the hitch u have? this is a 265/70/17, try adjusting the tire by pushing while cranking up. they changed hitches mid year in 03, so u should be good. heres some info. http://www.toyota120.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1192

Looks very similar- 4 blots on each side and those plates. I actually do not have the tires yet but will ask the shop to do this on the spare first. If we can make it fit (and thanks to you chaz, I now believe it will) I can get some taller tires and extra clearance cheaply. I'm going for the Hankook Dynapro ATMs.
