BFG's

The time has come for new tires for the wife's :girl: 03 T4R Sport. I have been going over this for a while now and though I would like another set of Revo's they are a little expensive. So I have been looking at the BFG Rugged Terrain's. Was wondering if anybody has any real world input on these. I know they are pretty new out but hopefully someone has these and can offer some insight. We live in West Virginia and we have been getting a fair amount of snow the past couple years so that is a big selling point as far as tires are concerned.

Thanks in advance for any help and I am sorry to have started another tire thread.

I think there may be some confusion between the Rugged Terrains and Rugged Trails. The Rugged Terrains are new, or at least within the last 4 or 5 months. The Rugged Trails are the ones you see mostly. I have the Rugged Terrains in the 265/65/17 size. They are as quiet as the stock Dunlops and are great in the rain. I'm in TX, so I couldn't tell you about snow performance. I really like them. Seem to be a hybrid between the AT's and a highway tread. I have a pic of them in another thread dedicated to the Rugged Terrains in the 4th Gen section. I'll try to post more, but will probably wait until after I get my FJ springs installed.

Oh yeah, went back and looked at a few pics. It was those dang Rugged Fails that I used to have. Not the rugged terrains.

Yeah it is the Rugged Terrain's I am looking at. I had the Rugged Trails on my Tacoma when I bought it and they were terrible I would not buy another set of those for anything!

Thanks all for you input.

I am eyeing these as well. Its almost time, decision will be between 265/70/17 Rugged Terrain or Destination 255/75/17

I went ahead and ordered them today, should have them next week some time. Sams Club is running a little special on BFG's right now until August 9th. You basically just get installation which is $15 a tire for free. $60 dollars off of something they should not be charging for anyway. Oh well, I just hope they do as good in the snow as the Revo's did.
