Bluewolf, I've got a proposition for you. I'll send you a gold T4R.ORG sticker for FREE on the condition that you promise to post a nice pic once you stick it on. That way I can use your pic as a model and maybe then folks won't be afraid of buying one :D If you agree just send me a PM with your mailing addy.

Psst...Gatorgreg, put SUPER-GLUE on the gold sticker!;):

Get A Standard

My wife never drives my Runner. It`s got a 5spd manual, and she can`t drive stick. I broke a syncro once and was going to rebuild the tranny and replace the clutch. I thought, "What a good time to teach her how to drive stick. She can`t hurt it any more than it already is."
After several hours in a parking lot I realized that she was not going to learn how to drive a manual tranny anytime soon. A couple of years later we were going to the beach. I had an emergency and had to go. I took my car and left. While I was away she tried moving the 4Runner out of the garage. Lukily I back it into the garage because she nearly hit her car moving it out! She forgot to put her foot back on the clutch when she wanted to stop. Needless to say the only thing she does now is start it up on the odd occassion.

Good thing 4runners look nice from the rear, Bluewolf, since that's all you'll be seeing. :sadwave:

Just make sure you keep up those payments on her new toy.

:happens:

My wife's a farm-girl. She was operating manual transmissions when she was eight years old. Trucks, tractors, Jeeps, bikes . . . she's a good driver. Up until a couple years ago, she didn't even want a truck with an automatic tranny. Guess she's getting soft in her old age.

Bluewolf

....we're forwarding your comment to your wife....you know, that one about "old age"" & "soft." Anything we can do to help a brutha.

Maybe you COULD get her into your pickup considering the above.

My wife is a girlie-girl and wouldn't even consider driving a pickup, maybe yours would.

Tell her that the 4Runner is not a dependable truck and that you would not want to subject her to such a thing. You are only looking out for her own good! :biggrin2:

Not Reliable?

Yeah right! The only way that will work is if she sees the reciepts from the dealer. She has also probably seen this forum on how great and reliable Toyotas are. Plus Bluewolf has a Toyota pickup which, my guess is, hasn`t been near a tow truck yet!
:D

Nope. But It serves as a tow truck once-in-a-while. I've pulled a few friend's Jeeps out of the hills on several occasions.

Bluewolf"s friends

Glad to see you are such a helpful Toy owner getting those Jeeps out of trouble. Now remind us again why they're friends if they drive those things in the first place?

That person should get two for the price of one.

This has me thinking, do they offer the gold emblem package like they used to on the last gen 4Runner and many others for that fact. I never liked it but it made it on to alot of vehicles. Maybe it is passe' now?

I've owned, and still love, CJs. Don't like new Jeeps much. Can't we all just get along???:headslap:

Friends

"Can't we all just get along???"

Of course we get along! We're 4x's first and foremost. And it would be a sad day when we don't help out a Jeeper (seeings how they usually need the most help.) Now if the gold sticker is that ugly, you better not do it or they'll think you need help with your head!

Just joking Kmvreter, I can get along with *almost* anybody, even Jeepers! :rolleye2:

But NOT Suzuki dorks . . . we HATES them!!! :50cal:
