its gonna be wet around here.

I wonder how extensive the flooding will be. its times like this I am glad I am nowhere near the russian river, coz you know they are gonna get it. they always do.

is almost 2:30 am around the SMF airport, and all i hear is wind blowing super loud along with my trash bin blowing over.
This is the worse I seen in 10 years and I'm going to be up in 4 hours to go to work. Can't imagine whats it going to be like in the mornings, just check the forecast and is going to be blowing 50+ mph wind. Yikes.

Well, I hope who ever is going up there a safe drive and a safe trip.

I ride at Sierra at Tahoe. I usually get the double whammy pass but didnt this year and got the sierra only. Looking forward to heading up around thursday for a few days of pow riding.

we were just at sugarbowl last night and decided to come back down to sacramento to avoid the blizzard. Man, it was crazy! It started to snow when we left and it just didn't give up until we got to about 4000 feet.

have you guys read about this one yet? A tree got uplifted and split through a house, luckily no one was injured.

Still wish I could find my camera. two of my neibors have lost their fences. one lost the whole darn thing, its laying in the street. so I am guessing a work party this weekend.

no idea about trees here, but I have not left my house today

damn, i couldn't even open my store this morning til now, wind blow straight from front door, pond of water inside the store front and i have to PUSH really hard to get the door open.... sucks.....

and i went home to check, lost part of my fence too....

5pm, the wind has died down in El Dorado Hills

So I took my dog for a walk in light rain. Around my area I am guessing in a 3 block walk I saw maybe a dozen or so homes with damage, few trees down in new york creek and its about as wide as the 50 freeway right now. Has to be dangerous, fast water like that.

Most of the damage I saw was timber fences down, a couple of minor tree limb stuff, didnt see any homes that were damaged.

Lot of free stuff laying about, a BBQ, Pool stuff and the like just blown into the street with the fences down

then it started to rain pretty good again and the dog and I got soaked.

Still wish I could find my darn camera.

yeah, a lot of the fences are going to be blown down based on the fact that the posts are probably dug anywhere from 12-18 inches, which in reality isn't that deep.

the biggest thing they are worried about on my side of town (sacramento) is the flooding of the arden arcade bridge. But most of the news has died down with the storm.

I was there last weekend. This is my second season on the Double Whammy, I usually get it through the groupbuy with my buddy. I'll PM you for next season, if you're not getting it through the groupbuy.

I should be going up next weekend, just found out the cabin owner screwed us on the lease.

Im probably headed out around 10am, going east on 50 to Mormon Immigrant trail and then toward hwy 88

Im taking snow cables, winch, snatch straps, shovel, chains ect

I guess they re-opened 80 a couple of hours ago. I so wish I could head up to Squaw and get some skiing in, but I'm watching the kiddos today...bummer!

Quite the storm came thru around 1pm today in the Sierras

Here is one pic of a shorty jeep with a tire rolled off a rim, running them a bit too flat

I ended up high centering a few miles up the road and had to be towed off by the full size jeep in the pic

Both jeeps had lockers rear, LSDs front very agressive rubber and both running low PSI, I on the other hand ran my Bridgestone Revos at normal pressure, and spent the day trying to get stuck. Only when I high centered in maybe 2 to 3 feet of the cold stuff did I get stuck.

At one point on the way home, I spun my 4Runner around in 4WD Hi, Locked, I was hotdogging it and lost it, ended up nose first into the embankment, but managed to just drive out fairly easily with both front tires in a ditch. Might get the alignment checked next week, I hit pretty hard, but no noticable vibration or wobble on the way home at highway speed.

Also I pulled a Nissan Fronter out, that had driven off the edge, but there was a traffic situation, so no time to take pics

regs to all. There is plenty of snow above 2600 ft right now and above 4000 there is a real lot
