Hi Did you need to add a height adapter? Or did it fit right in? Thinking about purchasing one.

Needed a height adapter for the 34f to work. Had it at the dealer for oil change they tested the batt and they were all like WTF when it came up 1342cca

We run a Odyssey 34R-PC1500T primary battery (reverse pole) and a
Odyssey 34/78-PC1500DT auxiliary battery.
The 34R-PC1500T is $275 and fits in the stock location just fine.

I was just thinking about this the other day... I remember a friend telling me several years ago (when I was looking for a battery for my '08 Tundra) that Optima red-top and yellow-top batteries really are not very good anymore. I always thought they were a top-line battery (apparently not compared to the Odyssey batteries).

Can anyone give any info or anecdotal experience with Optima batteries regarding longevitiy and reliability? Just curious... I shouldn't need a new battery for a while.

I don't see a 34F on their site. What's this height adapter you speak of?

I came to the T4R world from the sports car world, and I always ran on Optima Red Top battery. When I need one on the runner - that's where I'll go.

Is the Red Top not loved by T4R owners as they are by other enthusiast groups?

Thanks.

So which one of these is the correct one for my 2013 Limited?

Engine: 4.0 Liters 3956 CC 241 CID V6
Model #: 34R-790

OR

Engine: 4.0 Liters 3956 CC 241 CID V6
Model #: 34R-PC1500T

Different product lines, either will fit. You want the PC1500T Extreme line.

Agreed, that's whet I have in my vette which are famous for running down the battery sitting in the garage. It can sit for two months and fire up like a champ every time!
