Bikini Top

Any one tried one of these and how well do they work?

i had one and it was fun.

i gave my setup to my buddy in hawaii and bought a softtopper.

when i want to have a similar effect i roll my sides and rear up.

unfortunately, i don't have a good pic of the 4runner with the softtopper all rolled up but do a search as there are others with the same setup!

Softopper solution....

Bikini works fine; .... just preferred the Softopper for rain, snow or shine!

They're great for hot weather, but that one is overpriced by $200.

Do a search for "4Runner bikini." There are write ups on how to make one. They are a $50 Bestop Jeep bikini and aluminum rail (<$10) from Home Depot plus a snap kit for about $16.

That's how I did it. The Bestop top and front mount kit are under $100. Then all you need is a few pieces of EMT from the Home Depot for a center support and some angle stock to adapt the mounting kit.
