Bilstein 5100 / TOYTEC 112620 combo

Once I get the sliders and skids from RCI installed, and go through a summer of Colorado trails... I'll see where I'm at settling-wise and if I should do the 0.85" option with superflex in the rear so I can go the full 3/2

Now im debating if i should go with the bilstein. 85 with toytecs 112620s with the daystar 1.5 spacer. Maybe i should set bilstein@ 0 & toytec 112620 with 1/4 spacers both fronts. Im afraid ill be nose high.

I think it probably would look nose high, that's my guess. Even though there is +2" factory difference (on yours too right?), getting it to a +1" difference generally gives that leveled look. And once you have gear in the back... Not sure what your plans are for front weight, like a bumper, 'cause that would bring the front down to maybe a more desired look.

If it was me, I would get some superflex coils in the rear if I was going to set it at 0.85 with the 112620s. Even if I used a 1/2" spacer instead of setting it at 0.85, I might still go with the superflex coils.

Got any jack stands? You could lift your front up 1.5" higher to see what a 3/1.5 would look like (assuming 3" front).

Are you running after market UCAs? Just wondering how you got 285s to fit after the lift. I'm rubbing with 265s after a spacer lift.

5100 on setting 0, with Toytec 112620 in front and 5100 with Toytec Superflex for the rear. I've got about 2.5in of lift on each corner and kept the front rake. I've also replaced the worn out bushings of the stabilizer bars, which make the truck behave way better and no more clunk.

Can i ask what is your ground to fender measurements?

I do have center wheel hub to fender, to remove the tire variations.

Front : 21 1/2in
Rear : 23 1/2in
Ground to bottom hitch: 20in.

i just purchased a 2016 with pre-instated Toytec frt springs with spacer for a total 3" lift and rear 2" Toytec coils. the stance is great but ride is horrible with factory Tokiko struts and shocks. I was looking into just adding bilstein 5100s front and rear and have been told by 2 shops that they won't do it because 5100's are designed to go with stock springs? should i just add Toytec boys shows and struts? Any advice would be great, I really want to get this figured out and dialed in. The nose dive is horrendous and its very squirley on uneven roads too. Thanks for any help or advice.

I have 5100's all around along with the springs setup and love the way it rides. no more nose dive and floaty feeling while driving. I would go with the bilsteins and keep searching for other shops that would install them for you. There are a tons of members on here running 5100 both with stock springs and aftermarket. The bilsteins can be used with either setup.

I agree with the floaty feeling of the stock springs/shocks. Every time i braked / accelerated, it felt like a boat. I went with 5100s and Toytec 521600 front and RCC 2.0 on rear and it's a world of difference. After the suspension settled in, it's a great ride on/off-road. I still have a slight front rake, but i don't mind it. After gear is loaded in the back, it's all levelled again.

As EL3v8te mentioned, find another shop that will do the install you for.

I finally got to install the springs. I did the install all by myself and man it was tough doing it alone. I'm really happy how it turned out and looks the way I hoped it to be. Here's a photo. I used the superflex in the rear and the toytec/eibach in the front with the 2nd notch on the bilstein. Looking forward to seeing how yours turn out.

spring compression?

Im aware this thread is ancient history, but for anyone who sees this who has done their 112-620s with bilsteins at the 0.85 notch setting, how the hell did you guys compress your spring that far? Im at the 0 setting right now and even at that setting I had to compress the thing dangerously far. any responses would be appreciated. I also have superflexes in the rear and for some reason the rear is 3 inches higher than the front, so im trying to figure out if I should adjust the front settings or just throw a spacer on it. I dont wanna be spending money on spacers only to have to return them when i dont need em.
