Bilstein 60mm BTS System

So what's the deal saying March or Jan ? Is there a definite release date or what ?

If you call Bilstein, they will tell you (as they told me) release date is March.
I think they are saying that so they have time to get enough #'s manufactured.

Stay tuned, you may see them sooner...

Thx Chas of MRT for prompting me to look at Bilstein's site again....

Updated stuff is appearing daily!

EDIT: BE SURE TO CHECK APPLICATION UPON ACTUAL RELEASE BEFORE ORDERING!

Bilstein is posting up more 6112 information on their website... found these listing for the 4Runners and FJ's...

6112 Series Kit
Part Number: 46-227294

Series: 6112 Series

Finish: Zinc Plated

Designed for the serious off-road adventure seeker, the all new BILSTEIN 6112 Series Kit is the ultimate suspension solution. The 6112 Series optimizes off-road and on-road capabilities with a 60mm digressive piston for increased damping control. This kit features specially designed cold wound springs and an adjustable spring seat which allows for vehicle leveling, larger tires, and increased ground clearance. The kit comes with (2) 60mm shocks (2) springs and (2) billet spring seats. The 6112 is a direct bolt on application for late model half-ton trucks and SUVs which utilize a factory coilover suspension. The 6112 kit is for front applications and reuses the OEM top mount and spring isolators. To maximize performance, Bilstein recommends a 5160 Series remote reservoir shock for the rear

I am a dealer of Bilstein goods and have been working with them on development of these systems. I dont have any information at the moment of a release date tho.

For sure! Any news I get I will post up here.

We are working on our sponsorship account and as soon as thats active I will post more about our biz. Thanks for the support and have a great weekend everyone :thanks:

With these having digressive valving where do we think ride quality will be compared to ICON front COs?

I was dead set on ICONs for my future lift but these 6112s with the 5160s in the rear are starting to sound better and better!

chaz at mrt ... Spoke with you and your shop earlier this week and was told I should be able to purchase second or third week of this month.... Has that now changed to march possibly?

Chas - Question: What are the differences between the 6112/5160 combo and the TRD Pro setup, if any?

Thanks!

Not sure on that, production has started but will update sometime next week after I visit Bil

Not entirely sure but I believe the spring rate and valving are different and set to Toyota/TRD's specs.

Bilstein is having complications with one of their machines and expect that these will now be delayed 2-3 weeks. Still looking for a Feb release.
